Dubai's transport authority has decided the city needs its own electric-vehicle show. EV World 2026, the Dubai International Electric Vehicle Exhibition and Conference, is organised by the RTA and runs 10–12 November 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre. It is the first edition.
The size
More than 300 companies, 70 speakers and an expected 10,000 visitors. The theme is Driving a Smart and Sustainable Mobility Future.
What is on the floor
Vehicle makers, charging networks, battery and fleet companies, and the RTA's own exhibits on the public charging plan and the city's autonomous-vehicle and robotaxi trials. The conference runs alongside with sessions on policy, grid readiness and fleet electrification.
Why it matters here
Dubai has set a target for the share of electric vehicles on its roads by 2030 and has the region's densest charging network, most of it DEWA's. An RTA-run show is the authority putting the charging operators and the car makers in the same hall as the people who write the rules.
The exhibition to compare it with is the Dubai International Motor Show, and the difference is that this one is run by the regulator. That means the sessions on charging standards, tariff rules and the licensing of charging operators are first-hand, and for a company in the charging business those three days are the clearest reading of the RTA's intentions it will get this year. The car halls are for the public; the conference room is for the trade.
